Wine Journeys

Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Julie McIntyre, in the spirit of the Society’s new collaboration with UC Davis presented, ‘Great Wine Journey’s From John Locke in Paris to Thomas Hardy in California”, as a Chardonnay retrospective.  39 members and guests attended.  It was held at the Sea Cliff home of President Ned MacDonald where he and his wife, Vivien, served a delicious buffet while we sipped wines from our cellar. After the presentation and buffet, Phil Claypool entertained us on his guitar adding some of his playful lyrics. A variety of wine were ever, a great opportunity to serve some bin ends of 2017 Trois Noix Sauvignon Blanc, 2001 Freeman Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon, 2012 Waits-Mast Pinot, and Freeman Ryo Fu Chardonnay and Iron Horse Champagne.
